What is fun?
Fun defined is perhaps
Not my definition
Concisely speaking
fun is sport, amusement
jocularity, not serious
and something to indulge in
Like Alice in Wonderland chasing rabbits
to another place, another time
is my idea of fun
Escape from reality
To a world of fantasy
Where there is no pain
Only happiness
A clown whispered in my ear
Come away with me
To another place, another time
For eternity
I need to know
That you are near
As I face this growing fear
Numbing the pain
Gnawing at the corners of my mind
Keep the secrets hidden in the dark
Where no-one will find them
Hide the key inside your heart.
There is someone who knows
That there is treasure hidden in the darkness
If you let Him unlock your heart
With His love key
There will be light that brings healing.
Fear and sorrow vanquish
At the presence of His love
Lies and deception flee
At the Truth of His Word.
We all hide behind facades
Living in fantasy
Unreality
But there is another Voice
Whispering in the dark
Bringing hope and healing
Come away with me
Where you can play for eternity.
