Shadows Mean Light

It is dark and damp
The coldness creeps deeply
Huddled in the dark
Hugging my knees
Things scurry near
I am too numb for fear
The shadows breathe
My back nudges cold stone
I can't recall how I arrived
No idea where I reside
The cold dirt beneath my butt
I see shadows
Therefore, there is light
I slowly unfurl
My frozen body
Rising with the knowlege
That I can locate the light
That I can escape
From this, my tomb.

Moonstorm
